As soon as you understand this, you will know how to build self confidence.

Here's an example: Let’s assume you say that from Monday you will start losing weight. But when Monday comes, you realize that you've been invited to afternoon tea. And you say “never mind, I'll start next week”.

As soon as you do that something really crappy happens....

You are programming your brain to act in a certain negative way that will impact every area of your life. Now you might be thinking: “how will this teeny tiny decision impact my entire life”?

Here's another Truth ...Your beliefs become your thoughts. Your thoughts become your words. Your words become your actions. Your actions become your habits. Your habits become your values. Your values become your destiny

It all comes down to a brain function called neuroplasticity.

In simple terms: when you say that you will do something – but you never do it – your brain is programmed to act in this way for everything you do.

New neural pathways are created in your brain each time you make a decision and they are reinforced each time you make a new one.

If you do something different from what you said you would do in the first place – and if you behave like this several times – you will start procrastinating about everything.

And this will impact your entire life in a negative way because you won’t have faith in yourself.

How can you be confident when you never do what you say you will do?

How will someone take you seriously if you say that you will start eating healthy and then you eat a ginormeous pizza for dinner?

It may seem like such a minor thing but this behaviour will also haunt you in your career, relationships, weight loss goals and everything you do!

We all know that we have to try to think positively, but what about feeling positive? Feelings are so much more powerful than thoughts,and confident people know how to prepare emotionally for challenging situations.

Emotional preparation is vital because if your emotional state is wrong (too anxious, low energy or self conscious) all your natural skills go out the window, along with any other preparation you've done.

Why? Well, simply put, your brain doesn't work well when you're anxious.

How To Fix This & Increase Your Self Confidence

The good news are that you can fix it and you can become more confident

If you say that you will do something and then go out there and really do it you will develop some strong neural pathways. These neural pathways will become stronger and stronger in the future.

When you do what you say you will do, you build trust in yourself. You build faith in yourself. You learn to believe in yourself.

Because you know that when you say something, you are not just a talker.And as soon as this happens constantly you will start developing your self confidence!
